Ovelinda Garcia
Ovelinda Garcia is a writer, creative producer, and storyteller with roots in New Jersey and a life shaped equally by New York City and Los Angeles. With a career spanning theatre, independent film, technology, and media production, she has spent decades at the intersection of art and narrative.
Her debut novelette, Truth, Dreams, and The Everythings In-Between, is drawn from personal heritage, historical research, and the stories passed down through her family, particularly from her mother, Dr. Argentina Clarke, whose expertise in culture and history helped lay the foundation for Kavi’s world.
Ove writes with the instincts of a filmmaker and the heart of a poet. Her characters are complex, her settings immersive, and her themes, immigration, identity, love, and the cost of dreaming, are as urgent today as they were in 1919.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Thomas, and their two Doberman Shepherds, Apollo and Artemis. Her daughter, Savannah Leone Brown, designed the book’s cover, a reflection of the family spirit that lives at the heart of everything OveylandInc. creates.
